Join the board

Highland Well-Ness Collective is all about creating safe, welcoming spaces where people can explore their wellbeing. We combine professional counselling with community therapeutic activities - from book clubs to dance - because we believe mental health support should be accessible, person-centred, and free from judgement.

Through our Pay it Forward scheme, we offer free and reduced-rate counselling for those who can’t afford the full cost, ensuring no one is left without support. Our regular community events - including dance classes - not only bring people together but also help raise funds for this vital work.

We’re entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re looking for new volunteer Board Members to join us in shaping what comes next.

You don’t need prior Board experience - just a passion for mental health and a willingness to contribute your skills. We’d be especially excited to hear from people with experience in:

  • Business development

  • Finance or accounting

  • Fundraising

  • Strategic planning

  • Social enterprise & governance

  • Events or community engagement

As a Board Member, you’ll:

  • Help set our strategic direction

  • Keep an eye on our financial and operational health

  • Act as an ambassador in your networks

  • Share your expertise with the team

  • Attend at least 3 Board meetings a year (online or in person)

  • Pitch in with occasional project or event support

This is a voluntary role - but it’s also a chance to make a lasting difference in your community.

To apply, send a short email telling us about your background and what you’d bring to the role to info@highlandwellnesscollective.co.uk by 30 September 2025.
If you’d like an informal chat first, we’d love to hear from you.

Our Partners

As an organisation, we are committed to embracing a holistic approach to mental health.
We firmly believe that true wellbeing is supported not only by emotional health but also physical, social, and emotional aspects.

To fulfil this commitment, we are partnering up with different Highland based organisations and services.
This enables us to offer our counselling clients and our community the opportunity to access a diverse range of activities designed
to enhance their overall well-being through a reciprocal referral system that enables accessing the services with a small discount -
To find out more about how to these work, just ask at your next counselling appointment.

And if you are interested in a partnership with us, please do get in touch. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
