Funded Outdoor Counselling
for Stratherrick & Foyers
A small pilot offering free, outdoor counselling to people living in Foyers, Stratherrick and the surrounding area.
You don't need to be in crisis to come to counselling. Sometimes it's just that things feel heavier than usual, or you'd like somewhere to think out loud with someone who isn't going to rush you. This pilot is for anyone in the area who could use that space.
Starting September 2026, we will be offer one-to-one sessions with one of our qualified counsellors, out in the local landscape - woodland paths, lochside routes, wherever feels right.
On days when the weather has other ideas, we'll move indoors to a backup space nearby, so the sessions still go ahead.
There's something about being outside that can make talking easier. Less like sitting across from someone in a room, more like walking alongside them. Some people find it calmer, less intense, easier to be honest in. If that sounds like it might suit you, this is worth a try.
Sessions run fortnightly, on the same day each time, for the full 12-session block:
One-to-one with the same counsellor throughout
Outdoor by default, with an indoor option for bad weather
Completely free - this pilot is funded through Foundation Scotland
